A global community focused on Talent Development, this is what ATD (Association for Talent Development) wants to create when it welcomes members from more than 90 countries around the world at its 2019 Conference. Wei Wang, PhD, CPLP and Sr. Director of ATD Global, tells us about the ATD experience, the Brazilian presence, the plans for Latin America and the Brazil Summit, which will take place this year in São Paulo.

The ATD Conference is the largest talent development event in the world. In 2019, it was held in Washington, D.C., where professionals from more than 90 countries learned new practices and resources to make their work more efficient, reflected on trends and ways to manage training programs from design through measurement. ATD understands that when you reach your full potential you can help others grow effectively by creating a more comprehensive and prepared workforce to deal with the transformations of today's world.

What can we develop to become timeless professionals? Kristen Fyfe-Mills in unison with "the voice of ATD 2019" bets on our soft skills! Director of Communication Strategies for the Talent Development Association for more than 10 years, talks about continuous learning, soft skills, power of execution and the global impact of change agents at the conference.

Do you know what your strengths are? What is the best way to discover them? It is by investing in them that you become an extraordinary leader. Jack Zenger, CEO of Zenger Folkman, Forbes columnist and Harvard Business Review, tells us a bit about our tendency to devote ourselves to fixing weaknesses, rather than investing in qualities.
